Dumb Green Ideas of the Week - 5
August 1st, 2008 byThis regular feature has been on holiday recently. But now DGIW is back. Bigger, badder, and dumberer than ever. This week’s dumb great ideas combine the strange, with the stupid. And, oh yes, the Green Bikinis
Dumb Green Idea: How not to throw away a car.
A picture says a thousand words, and everyone one of them should be tanking EarthFirst for posting this picture:
Dumb Green Idea: Jumping off Wind Turbines.
A rather dedicated bunch of base jumpers have decided to jump off wind turbines. It looks quite fun, but probably not the most legal activity. I do wonder how they managed to get to the top of the wind turbine, and how the wind turbine was switched off. Did someone switch off the wind turbine, our beloved source of renewable energy, so these guys could enjoy a good jump? At least it makes for an interesting video. Thank you Groovey Green
Dumb Green Idea: The “Green” bikini
I approve of all things made from green or recycled products. But the “green” bikini just stinks of a gimmick. Certainly having the materials imported from around the world, and sold at a premium neglects the entire green/eco aspect of the bikini? I think my biggest problem with the green bikini is that we just have bigger fish to fry. Thanks Alternative Consumer.
Have a green weekend!
